Ooh, can't wait to see it! =]

Hey Joe, i have been reading these boards for a while now but have never posted, but I just wanted to say I loved Smokin Aces. I want to pursue a film career and for the life of me I cant understand why the critics did not rave about this film. The cast you assembled includes some of my favorite actors and even though when i seen the trailer I seen a few people ( Ben Affleck, Common, Alicia Keys) that I thougth the movie could do without, but after the movie was done they were some of my favorite characters. Anyways I just wanted to say great job

Also if you could tell me where to get the white poster, with the characters sort of animated, and the whole thing looks like a card I would love to buy one.

Holy Crap I can't believe this is real lol. Mr. Carnahan, I just want to say that it's movies like yours that get me excited to make my own. I work at an AMC Theater and we promoted the living hell out of 'Smokin' Aces', I mean we gave away huge posters, mini posters, we even had the whole staff wear the kick-ass shirts (as well as giving them away). Your movie is brilliant, screw what the critics say and remember that. I was actually wondering if there was any way you could sign my poster (gave a few copies of it to friends and family)? If not it's cool, like I said before just excited to voice my praise for you and your work. Thanks!

Bleh this big text makes me feel like im talking in all caps, Anyway i just wanted to leave a little note on how wonderful your film is Joe, Took 7 of my friends watched your movie and loved it. Also i wrote a review on IMDB, Although i doubt you will have the time to check it out it is surely there for anyone who wants to read it. Saw it, loved it. Great work Joe C, I see the black FBI guy in BBGO had a cameo in the film.

All the reviews I read, wall street, new youk times, AJC blah blah...all said you're suffering from the Tarantino Effect. Dude, Smokin aces is in a new genre all by it self, but the highlight of the film RYAN "FUCKING" REYNOLDS!! His performance was off the chain.

John Ortiz got casted for (hose juro) Miami Vice because of you; dude you just gave Ryan Reynolds some great street cred !!! Rock on bro!!

Awesome movie! I can't get it out of my head! I loved how the tension builds big-time right before the big fight! Cant wait for the dvd!
The performances were great, especially from Ryan Reynolds. I thought Alicia looked Smokin'(pun intended).Great to see you workin' with Ray again.

By the way, the writing/ directing was brilliant!

Well I think it's a bloody good idea for an advert to take someone's condensed summary of the film and to use it in a way that might actually get more people in to see it!

I mean, who wouldn't want to see a guy sitting on a chainsaw???

Maria Pekurovskaya is a genius!

Also watching the ad actually made me want to track down the rest of the review and read it.

The only other film I can recall of where negative (as well as positive) quotes from critics were used was with Fight Club; the quotes were included with the booklet that came with the DVD.
