BIG MEETING TOMORROW 10/29/2007 at 11:28 PM

Guys:

Got a meeting tomorrow that will determine my professional trajectory
for the next six months. If it goes well, I'll tell you all about it. If it doesn't,
then I'll know exactly what I'm doing anyway.

Could that be more f*cking cryptic?

No.

It couldn't.

JC

You still have big thangs lined up so it doesn't matter which direction you go. At least thats what it sounds like. Question about KP. How long, and how many drafts did you do of this script?

What the hell man? I guess the writer in you loves to leave us hanging at the Act breaks...

Well, I guess I'll go to the fridge and get a glass of juice while the commercial's on and hopefully when we return to the SJC show we'll have the resolution we're hoping for.

(unless it's one of those "to be continued" episodes...boy, my brother and I used to hate those!)

Good luck JC,
RTA

Joe,

Just finished WJ. Man, all I can say is I wish I had your troubles!! Two absolutely amazing screenplays that both deserve to be attached to you and your deft touch. I don't think you can make a bad choice here but if I had to choose, my preference would be KP, for purely selfish reasons. For whatever reason, I just connected with KP and would really like to see it on screen sooner rather than later.

On another note. I know what you have posted about the pending WGA strike but I'd really appreciate it if you could update us on your POV. I work for one of the major studios and am starting to get scared. I work in the computer side of the TV division but I have to be honest with myself.... If they layoff a bunch of the production/development people to get through this, I can't imagine I will have a job. I am part of a team that supports 4000+ computer users. But if layoffs happen, and it looks a lot like they will, then I have to assume that the computer jobs will be cut proportionally. Any words or thoughts of hope for this nasty situation? The Teamsters promising to walk is really freaking me out.

Anyhow, For what my opinion is worth I'd like to see KP ASAP. I just love everything about it.

Best to you and yours!!

Chris

Just remember to make whatever project you start for creative, not marketing (and god help us "beat the strike") reasons. Keep it close to the vest and whatever it is you'll be doing for the next six months should be just fine. Don't let'em tell ya differently, Joe.
Can't wait to here whatever it is you will be meeting about tomorrow.

Dude, go to bed!

Get your beauty sleep for the big meeting.

And good f*ckin' luck!

We're already 'tomorrow' on this side of the world, so I wish everything will go fine for you Joe. I suppose what will determine your professional trajectory for the next six months is the strike. Even if it disturbs your shooting plans it won't in any case put your whole carreer in jeopardy. I've read film production would not immediately suffer the effects of even a prolonged strike because of the long lead time required to make features. But I hope the strike won't last, seriously. Everybody is making money and writers have the right to ask for a raising payment for profits on DVDs and shows offered digitally on the Internet, cell phones... But a strike cost a lot, we recently had one in France (subway/train/bus) and both sides didn't get what they wanted (well, not yet).

Please let us know about the meeting and what you'll do then. I'm dubious about what will happen...

LOL, Doubler.

Joe,

It's well worth the wait, and we're very anxious.

Here's hoping that your next project is a lock.

Take care.

Well, i guess all this is somehow a part of being in the biz, but you seem so calm and confident.
How can we be not??

I hope everything works out for the best

GOOD LUCK

P.
