Kids:

For the record, I never mentioned anybody by name in yesterday's post when
I told everyone that the young man I had choosen to play Junior Stemmons had
instead opted out for another, faster starting gig. I hate when our little blog
spills over into the larger, evil blogosphere and I get quoted in connection with
separate story.

Shows you how many latent traffickers we have here at 'Smokin Joe' and although
we think we're alone...and it's just a handful of us minding the shop...that's really
not the case.

Joe

Saw that this morning and wondered when you were reporting the news as opposed to making it. : )

I think that EXPLOSION during the prequel naming contest proved that we are not alone. Carnahan may not be a household name like Clooney, but I don't have to tell you Joe, people pay attention to you like you're a ticker on the Nasdaq. JCWJ - Stock rising!

Peace,

Hi Joe,

Just started re-reading James Ellroy's "White Jazz" the other night and while I was immediately reminded of Ellroy's bracing writing, I was also struck that this should be a perfect match for your talents. Dave Klein looks to be a great fit for George Clooney, who, until I picked the book up again, I wasn't sure of just how right he was for the part. This is gonna be great. Good luck with it all.

Joe speaks, people listen. Simple as that.

Joe, I'm curious. Do you have a ticker or anything on your side that tells you how many visitors you get here daily?

Hey Joe,

Much like the rule that requires a vampire to be granted permission before entering your house the same should apply to the vampires of the Smokin’ Joe’s Blog. It is time to round up on the crucifixes, wood stakes and garlic.

Cheers,
DanV

Oh c'mon, JC. It's all over the internet that Chris Pine was considering roles in both movies. Sure you didn't name him, but when trade publications have reported said actor being considered for the two roles, you don't have to name him. We know. We're not stupid.

Despite all the pains in the asses that come along with all the spread audience taking your words and misinterpreting them across the internet-- isn't a slightly larger reading base a good thing (or a slightly larger conversation group for us loyal readers?)-- I mean, it's kind of the point in the first place, right?

Although, I suppose a blog is not too much different from a public diary in some instances, and that is only meant for the eyes of a writer. Brings up some interesting issues about writing in this technological age.

Regardless, there are a couple of websites that I frequent where I have noticed more juicy bits of info from your blog popping up as linked news.

Hey Joe,

Love the site and love the conversation that takes place here! Just wanted to ask a quick question: Are there plans to release a director's cut of Smokin Aces? With all of the deleted scenes, etc.? I thought I remember reading about one coming out, but I haven't been able to find anything about it. Thanks

Johnny C.

Nothing is hidden on the internet. All it takes is one search or one's daily check. And you figure a few of us post here, but a lot more than that read it.

Good warning for all of us.
