Kids:

So the Hollywood Reporter ran a piece this morning saying that Chris
Pine was in negotiations to play both Captain James T. Kirk and Junior
Stemmons.

I will neither confirm nor deny that statement.

I'll just say that it would be a pleasure to reunite with Pine on WJ and
go out and kill that Junior role. It's really the second lead in the film and
the one that requires the biggest corkscrew to an actor's performance.
It's a helluva hill to summit but Pine has true, natural, unforced ability and
gifts.

We'll see how it all shakes out...

This is exciting news.

Hopefully the schedule for both films can accommodate him.

Second what JW said, it's good to hear it. Seems like Trek and WJ are both making big casting movies in unison...both nab Pine, they've got Bana and rumor mill says WJ for Charlize.

I'll tell ya, it couldn't be a more exciting time to be a movie fan. We've got The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones, along with Iron Man all coming out within the next year. Then in addition to that, my bro Joe (whaddya think Joe, can we be bros?) workin' on not one but three mega-killer projects. Just cannot wait. In my personnal little world in s jersey, I'm learning how to use adobe premiere and write for the screen. Ain't life grand- it sure is

I'll always remember the moment I realized that Chris Pine was a Tremor Brother-after the movie came out on DVD. Total transformation. Up until that point he had been the guy from the preview for the Lindsay Lohan movie Just My Luck. Is there a better person to play Junior Stemmons? No.
