Kids:

'Smokin Aces: Blowback' looks like it's about to ramp up hard. They flipped
for the script. Not a single note. Not that we can't get in there and really do
some story work and fine tuning but it looks pretty damn good right now.

I'd love to find a way to work our regulars into cameos in the flick. I've put
my mind to this and we'll devise something slick to give some camera love
to the loyalists.

That's all for now. As we move forward, I'll keep you guys in the know.

Sorry if this was covered in another thread, but Joe, are there any talents attached to this already or is that the next phase? Perhaps this is a good time to experiment with The Red, eh?

Good to hear lots of projects with which you are involved are all moving forward, hopefully not rushed by the impending strike.

Was doing my usual random visit to the site (haven't stopped in since you posted the blog about the Oakley RED camera [which does sound badass, as a side]) and saw this bit about a proposed prequel to Smokin' Aces. WHOA!! I try to stay up on anything related to my favorite directors and have been following White Jazz and Killing Pablo and am excited that they are both a go, but this totally blindsided and intrigued me to no end. I am really looking forward to getting some more info on this. Would this be a post-strike project? Also, what is the deal with the kid from Malcom in the Middle apparently producing the rival Escobar flick w/ Oliver Stone? All the best man, looking forward to some new stuff.
