IN BLOOM 11/28/2007 at 08:18 AM

My very good friend, Mr. Brian Bloom (who will probably give me some sh*t about
my lame pun-as-headline) is not only slated to play the lead in the Smokin' Aces prequel,
he will also be toplining this new Cadillac Escalade series for me, starting this week.

Brian is an example of how to conduct yourself and remain a class act despite the
potentially career-derailing notoriety and fame he received as a kid. You couldn't ask
for a cooler, more intelligent collaborator. This guy has had and will continue to have
the kind of career that defies the odds. And as we continue to run out of real men as
male leads, I predict that career will only get better...one that started with the great
Sergio Leone, 25 years ago.

You keep company with some erudite folks, Mr. C. No surprise there.

Things are taking off. Great news!!

I remember Bloom from when I was a kid. He's still hot too. Gorgeous eyes...But no one compares to my main man Martin Henderson. LOL! ...Ok...maybe Bloom would if he had a cool kiwi accent. LOL!

Can't wait to see the prequel. :)

Hey Joe. I guess I'm out of it since I'm not sure what notoriety you are referring to, but It is nice to know that you don't let such from the past things influence you now. Thanks for the info.

Best Wishes, Wendy

Brian Bloom looks like the love child of Jason Patric and Chris Pine. If that sort of thing was possible. I am guessing he is one of the team of agents protecting the old man in Blowback or I guess he could be an agent trying to catch the old man too. First returning cast member for Blowback, very surprising. Once Upon a Time in America is interesting, it will be cool to see how Bloom does with a grown up role in a badass shoot 'em up movie. I remembered his face from OZ. Whua!

Thanks for the news!

Wow, there's a face from the past. Thanks for the tidbit Joe. Good to see some news on the Prequel...now about those other two movies.....

I couldn't agree with you more Joe about Brian Bloom. I have seen him in many roles and I think he will be a great cast as the lead in the new Smokiin Aces. He has a great look and eyes that can capture an audience and keep them tuned in. He also seems to be a great man who has not let fame get to his head, which is where most leading men in the industry mess up.

They need to remember without us fans, there are no stars.

JC is definitely the master for seeing the truth of BB. B2 is one bad MFer, not just onscreen, but he is also the real deal in life. He is the class act people should think of when 'movie star' comes to mind, a charismatic leading man's man, unaffected, unruined and unthreatened in Hollywood. Great choice J - You love it, he loves it, learn to love the SA prequel, hurry up, I can't wait.

The Prequel totally slipped my ming amidst all the stike and Pablo/Jazz hooplah.

I see Mr. Bloom is an alumni of both "Faceless" and the original "Aces". The "Aces" part was small, so I suppose it would be fine if he reprised his role or played a new one. Either way has it's possibilities.
