HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE CARNAHAN KIDS? REDUX! 12/23/2007 at 10:34 AM

Page_1-1.jpg

This strike has been especially tough on my kids...they grow up fast enough
as it is! We'll pull through though. This family is made of stronger stuff.

HA! C'mon! We gotta laugh a little or we'll cry a lot.

You guys have a fantastic holiday season. My sincerest wishes and glad tidings go out to you and
yours. Have a wonderful new year as well. I might be checking in a little less periodically
until after the new year but I might try to squeeze a few entries in.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

JC

Sorry about the file not uploading. It's forever amateur hour with me and this stuff.

Very cool.

Though I hope they didn't really actually drink it!

Have a good one Joe, and the same applies to everyone else who descends upon these boards.

So, JC, what's Santy Claus getting the kids this year? Nintendo Wii, Smokin' Aces hooker, crate of beer?

I left a comment before Joe did the house-cleaning. I can't remember what I wrote, but I'll say this.

Merry Christmas to one and all, the regulars, the newbies and the pain-in-the-ass trolls who come whenever they need to bitch about something. As much as I can't stand them, it's the time of year when you're supposed to love everybody and forget their shortcomings.

Take care everyone. Not to sound like a government official, but be safe, and if you do drink, don't drive. I want to talk to you all next year, ya'know!

Other than that, have fun, be merry and be good.

AMEN brother. My sentiments exactly. Even the Trolls get love this season. I can't hate during the holidays.

JC,

I spend endless hours reading all about the strike and all the nonsense that both sides seem to be spouting. I'm not even below the line. I'm just a guy who will likely see his job eliminated come Feb if this thing doesn't sort itself out quickly.

When this strike started, I was firmly on the side of the WGA. But then reality set in and I found myself conflicted. I want the writers to get what is fair but it seems like this struggle is beginning to be at my expense. I understand that what the WGA gets in the end will set the standard for all the other unions, but I'm not a union worker. I'm just one of the thousands of people who don't have a voice in all of this. I work in the IT(computer) division of one of the major studios. And when half of the people I support are gone, it stands to reason that half of my department will be gone too.

See, while I want the WGA to get what is fair, it seems to me like they are looking for what is "more fair". They claim to be fighting for the next generation of writers and that may be the case but for those who don't have steady work, this strike just postpones the chance to sell their wares. And for those that do have steady work, they already make an awful lot of money anyway. And even if the WGA gets all it is looking for it seems to me that it will only make the relatively rich that much richer and the poor among the WGA will have to wait until they have become someone in Hollywood to gain anything from this strike. Meanwhile, the rest of us have to live with the consequences of the WGA and AMPTP's actions and prey that this thing doesn't wind up touching us and our jobs, if it hasn't already.

Sorry for the tirade sir. What I really wanted to say was that I think you have the best point of view of all the strike related people. And reading about all things KP and WJ keep me distracted and provide me with an oasis in this muck. Please, keep up the great work. Yours is a welcome diversion from the crap I normally have to read.

Can't wait for the next KP update!

Best,

Hoopersx

Damn, the comment I posted earlier disappeared 0_0

Anyway, merry Christmas to everybody (again), regulars, newcomers and even desperate trolls. I had some great times here this year, can't wait for next year and KP news! ^^^

PS: Your kids look very inspired, potential actors there.
