Hello JC

I know I've posted about the same thing every time I enter your website, but can you please tell me somehow: would you cast RAY LIOTTA in one of your upcoming movies (White Jazz, Blowback or Killing Pablo)????

RAY LIOTTA is one of my most favorite actors and let me tell you why:
He has a lot of potential and he can really bring characters in your movies to life, besides I think we all know that he knows to play very well law enforcers, don't we???

Thanks for your time, for reading it and I'd really like to know that you consider this idea!!!

Joe - you f.ckin' rock brother! Answering all this stuff...

Gotta be honest though on the Liotta tip Jorge, I don't really think the guy is that great.

To go beyond honest, I chickened out at the NARC premiere. Joe chose me as the last question and what I really wanted to ask was, "how the hell you got Liotta to pull that performance off?" Not looking for an answer to that one, but it is BY FAR his greatest performance of all time and one of rarity for him (IMO) where every single frame was believable and compelling. He's the consumate FBI, Detective, Cop actor and really it just gets old... then NARC (boom!), then back to the same old nothing (crazy)...

Whatever you did Joe - do that sh.t again, and again, and again 'cause that was pure magic!

Not only that, but Joe's projects need heavy-weights and I have no doubt that when the cliched film "stars" with burning flames finish passing on a gem someone will pop up and grab that sh.t like a $20 television from Walmart on Black Friday!

Stampede all,

JW

Hey, I like Narc, but its definitely not Liotta's "best performance of all time"...there's a little film that may have slipped your mind called GOODFELLAS. That's Liotta at his best.

The dude is immensely talented and I've be thrilled to see Joe work with him again.

I agree. Liotta was great in GOODFELLAS and NARC. Look at his career, he's done almost twenty films since NARC, can you name three? He is always the same yeller

He did an amazing job on an episode of ER.

I have a weird stance on Liotta. Personally, first off, I respect his body of work. I also sometimes fail to, as Mr. Carnahan would put it, understand the full depth of what Mr. Liotta is doing. Goodfellas and Revolver are two of my favorite movies and he's also been in a bunch of classics with key roles like Corina, Corina, Field of Dreams, Blow. He was also in a personal favorite of mine, No Escape.
He also has some interesting stuff rumored to be on tap. He definately brings it every time and he's been in some classics. Some of my closest most respect friends think he is one of the all time greats and even though I personally teeter on him being there you have to respect the collection of performances and films and the number of people who connect to what he does.
It's funny to me that this discussion started because just two or three days ago I talked at length with a good friend about the 'elevator scene' with Liotta and Jason Statham in revolver.

Kevin42285 - That episode sounds cool.

Joe...the fact that you made time to answer fan questions...in great detail...so quickly...which I know took more than a few minutes...is just awesome....I think I just got the answer to my rhetorical question. LOL! You can't be any cooler than this without usurping Fonzie's title. :)

Joe:

The advice you gave about having to get down and dirty, workin' hard when you don't feel like it is exactly what I say to people when they question my dreams of becoming a filmmaker.

I've always truly believed this and now that I got you saying it in a post, perhaps my argument will have more validity.
