Guys:

I've known about the 'Pride and Glory' situation for some time and was
hoping that it would be resolved somehow because the f*cking film is
GREAT. Nothing is worse than the idea that a film is unreleasable when it's clearly
not. I've seen the film four times now and it's just gotten better every time.
So New Line either needs to nut up or cut us loose. Rally behind the movie and
give it the attention and consideration it deserves or let us roll. This script dates
back pre-NARC, so it is obviously very near and dear to my heart.

Bully to Gav for going out on the line. He loves his film. It's what few people
have the balls to do in this business which is confront something, head on and
deal with it.

It'll get sorted. The movie speaks for itself. It just needs the right hands on it
now.

Kids:

The Coens are the most underrated filmmaking tandem out there so they deserve
every bit of what they got last night. They have been a massive influence on me
and 'No Country' represents those two in top form.

Daniel Day Lewis was singular in that role. I don't care how far back you want
to reach, Olivier, Brando, it wouldn't matter. DDL shifted his genetic make-up to
play that part. One of the top three performances by an actor in the history of
movies in my humble opinion. And PTA is simply a freak with talent to burn.

'Blood' was still my favorite film this past year. 'Jesse James' and 'Zodiac' were
on that list as well. How 'Zodiac' didn't receive any noms blows my mind. Jaime
Vanderbilt should have been on there for screenplay, Fincher for directing and
Ruffalo for supporting. Also, Harris Savides shot the sh*t out of that movie but
I've got no qualms with Elswitt. 'Blood' is just gorgeous to look at.

Bummed that Casey didn't get anything for JJ. The nomination was enough I guess
but you'd be hard pressed to find a more amazing turn this year. Bardem is just
so goddamned good and he's been shanked in the past, particularly for 'Mar Ardento'
which he should've won for.
