Great to hear Joe...
Finalizing a post I had earlier...
Last Saturday I had a family friend (since I was 5) killed when a car he was working on fell and crushed him. Needless to say, it has all been a bit overwhelming, not to mention the suddenness of it all and being around his two girls and wife, whose state of mind one would never need an imagination to comprehend.
Being at his "ceremony" yesterday was a sight like no other. A place that held 170, and after 2pm the crowd of standing-room only 250 was up and talking about everything that this man WAS AND IS. Not that it's a lecture and most people think of it as cliche, but no one talked about his money, his jobs, his cars, his whatever... everyone talked about WHO he was, the type of man, what he did for others, his family, his rough exterior, but the softness inside, what his actions meant to everyone... and throughout the mixture of emotions I came out the other end understanding it has to be ALL OR NOTHING... it isn't cliche and it's not a fabrication, but through all of it and I mean ALL OF IT, there are times I think we forget it... leaving any less than EVERYTHING of ourselves on the table isn't enough...
I think I get that now and I think everyone else should too...
To those that leave everything on the table and provide others the willingness to do so themselves, Thank You!
