Guys:
Finally, the Dems get dirty...is it just me, or is this a great thing for the party.
It shows some humility and greater still, humanity. The guy got caught with his
d*ck in the door to be sure and paying a prostitute for sex is still a crime (in this day
and age, Jesus are we a bunch of puritanical pussies) yet his bust looks positively
pristine against the more recent Republican faux pas' of being a bible-beating,
homophobic toad and then getting collared after buying meth for a midnight
rendezvous with a gay masseur. Or voting against every piece of pro-gay legislation
to come before the senate but voting for an amendment to ban gay marriage in the U.S.
Constitution shortly before getting busted trying to solicit sex in the stall of an airport
men's room.
NICE!
Ted Haggard and Larry Craig are f*cking hypocrites. Spitzer looks like an eagle
scout by comparison. I know he was married and yes, it's dead wrong but maybe the
most unfortunate thing was, the guy was a genuine crusader...he busted up some bad
people. Now he'll forever be known as 'Client 9' and the former 'disgraced' governor of
New York. I can't see how he doesn't resign. It's too brutal. I feel horrible for his wife too.
That's a miserable way to make a public appearance.
This is why I could never go into politics kids. I'd get fried about an hour after announcing
my candidacy. This incident at least gave the Dems street cred. Something the party has
been sorely lacking. You need some nastiness like this every once in awhile to remind
people that you're still deeply flawed and not without your faults. God knows the Republican
party would know that, better than anybody.
It's bad for the Clinton camp though, as much as Spitzer was a real rallying force
for them. Obama's people are probably pumped. The spin will be extravagant too.
Bill C.'s been a seat a helluva lot hotter than the one Spitzer's in.
I wonder what he's whispering to him, right now...
