MEDELLIN 07/31/2008 at 08:31 PM

Guys:

In Colombia, doing advance work for what I hope will be a fall start for
KILLING PABLO. This is Pablo's aunt's house in the Los Olivos district of
Medellin. Behind me, is the roof he died on. It is a most mundane end
considering the spectacular life this guy led. The roof is situated on
a simple, middle class street of single level homes and the people we
spoke with described that day like it happened last week. An older man
said the gunfire sounded like a thunderstorm it was so loud and overlapping.
We spent about three hours walking it, talking to neighbors and generally
making a nuisance of ourselves. It was worth it though. You have to stand
there to get a sense of it. I realized that Pablo only travelled about forty feet
from the time he knew the jig was up, till the moment he was killed.

Forty feet.

That's it.

It never ends the way we want it to, or would like it to.

I'll have photos from La Cathedral, the prison, that I'll put up tomorrow.

SUMMER OFF 07/01/2008 at 06:14 AM

Guys:

Until further notice, I'm suspending all blog activity for the rest of the
summer. Unless something of real interest breaks, I'm not planning on
writing any entries for the next two months.

Enjoy the weather wherever you are and go out and have some fun!
